LODI, California, June 7. THE California 2004 CIF Sac-Joaquin Section High School Swimming and Diving Championships held May 13-15 at Tokay High School in Lodi, California, showcased a girls’ meet with multiple dual-event winners and a boys’ meet with only one such superstar.

Davis High School’s relay teams were the top performers of the girls’ meet, stepping up to the blocks to win all three of this year’s relays and lead the way for a girls team title. Individually, however, only senior Robyn Johnson won an event for Davis when she took the 100 yard breaststroke in 1:05.79.

The theme of the girls' meet seemed to be “win more than one event” as Presley Bard (sophomore, Napa High School), Natalie Larochelle (junior, Vintage High School), and Ja-Neil Bragg (senior, Sierra High School) each won two events.

Bard took the 100 free (51.47) and 100 back (57.61), Larochelle took the 200 free (1:52.09) and 100 fly (58.21), and Bragg took the 500 free (5:01.02) and 200 IM (2:03.84).

Garrett Wagner, a senior at Del Oro High School was the only male to win more than one race, as he dominated the middle distance events. Wagner clocked a 1:37.85 and 4:31.10 to win the 200 free and 500 free respectively. Rio Americano High School walked away with the boys’ first place team trophy.
