Travis Mohr Sets Breaststroke Mark on Day 2 of US Paralympic Trials

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn, April 23. VETERAN Paralympian Travis Mohr set the only world mark on the second day of the US Paralympic Trials, finishng in 1:28.12 during the preliminaries of the men's SB6 100 meter breaststroke.

Pan American marks were set in five events. In addition to Mohr's breaststroke, records were broken by Erin Popovich in the SM7 women's 200 meter individual medley and SB7 women's 100 meter breaststroke, Curtis Lovejoy in the S2 men's 50 meter backstroke, and Michael Prout in the SM9 men's 200 meter individual medley.

Competition continues through Saturday at the University of Minnesota's Dorothy L. Sheppard Natatorium. The meet serves as the selection event for the 2004 U.S. Parlaympic Swimming Team that will compete in Athens.
