Four Swimmers Notch Second Win on Day Two of Egyptian Nationals

CAIRO, Egypt, February 19. AHMED SALAH ABDOU, Haithem Hazem, Ayman Khattab, and May Rafaat all won their second event at the Egyptian National Championships today.

Abdou added the 200m I.M. to his victory in the 100 fly the previous night; Hazem took his second backstroke event, winning the 50m back, while Khattab won his second breaststroke event with a victory in the 100m breast. May added a win in the 200m fly to her win in the 50 fly.

Hebatall Selim led a 1 – 2 sweep along with her national team teammate and training partner Samiha Mubark in the 1500m freestyle. Selim's time narrowly missed her own national record.

In other events, national junior team member Reem Sobby Hasson won the women's 50m breaststroke, Khaled Mohamed Hanify came from behind in the men's 400m freestyle for an upset victory, and Nihal Mohamed Ibrahim won the 100m freestyle.
