Teuscher of New Rochelle and Columbia University set two Goodwill Games records with a win in the 200m freestyle with a 1:59.63 (the previous record was 1:59.72 by Germany’s Franziska Van Almsick from 1994) and swam on the record-breaking 400m freestyle relay. Teuscher also won the 400m freestyle in 4:12.16. Maurer of Crestwood led off the winning medley relay and won the 100m backstroke with a 1:02.51 and was second in the 200m backstroke with a 2:18.73. Fox of Scotia anchored the medley relay to victory and won the 100m butterfly in 1:00.74. All three swim for John Collins at the Badger Swim Club in Larchmont, N.Y.
