2000 Olympic Games: Ticket Prices

Sydney organizers are close to finalizing ticket prices for the 2000 Olympic Games in Australia. There’s speculation the price for the best seats at premier events like the opening ceremonies and 100m finals in track will exceed $1,300 a ticket. That’s double Atlanta’s top ticket of $650. Michael Knight, president of the Sydney Committee, says organizers will set a high top ticket (presumably for corporations) to subsidize cheap tickets for fans.
