SEC Championships Almost Sold Out

AUBURN, Ala., Feb. 13. AS the 2003 Southeastern Conference Swimming and Diving Championships draw closer to the start, the few remaining tickets that are
available to the public are going fast.

"We have a little over 100 left," Auburn assistant director of ticket sales Steve Naughton said. "I would encourage everyone to order their tickets as soon as possible and not wait until the last minute because they will be all gone by the start of the championships."

The 2003 SEC Championships, which Auburn is hosting from Feb. 19-22 at the James E. Martin Aquatics Center, feature some of the fastest swimmers not only in the country, but also in the world. The Tigers alone can claim seven Olympians from 2000 on their roster.

"I would encourage the Auburn community to come out and support us as best they can," AU Coach David Marsh said. "We can really feed off of the enthusiasm that a crowd can bring to an event like this."

The Auburn men's team has captured six consecutive SEC titles and eight of the last nine while the defending national champion women's team is in search of their first conference crown. The competition begins at 10 a.m. CT each day with preliminaries and will be followed with the finals at 6:30 p.m. CT each night.

Tickets can be purchased by calling the AU ticket office at 1-800-AUB-1957.
