Stanford’s Peterson Wins 1-meter Diving, USC’s Blythe Hartley Takes the 3-m at Bruin Invite

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 17. STANFORD sophomore diver Adam Peterson took first place in the men's one-meter event while USC'Blythe Hartley easily won the women's three-meter springboard at the Bruin Invitational in Los Angeles, Calif.

Peterson scored 587.95 points on the first day of competition. Teammate Gavin Olmstead finished third (536.10) as the Cardinal took two of the top three spots. USC's Ray Vincent finished second (566.15).

Hartley had an easier time of things scoring 549.55 points, more than 60 points better than the 488.90 amassed by UCLA's Regan Gosnell in second. Stanford's Ashlee Rosenthal was third with 466.25.

Competition wraps up tomorrow with the men's three-meter event beginnning at 12:30 p.m. The combined (men/women) platform event will start at 3 p.m.
