Ed and Amanda to Represent Red Bull

RALEIGH, North Carolina, January 7. RED BULL North America, Inc. ("Red Bull") a leader in the energy drink/consumer beverage category has signed two non- traditional athletes from the traditional sport of swimming, Sydney medalists, Amanda Beard and Ed Moses.

Beard and Moses, who are considered to be two of the emerging superstars headed for Athens in 2004, have also been tagged by the edgy marketer to possess a unique blend of attitude, accomplishments and action sports persona in a traditional Summer sport.

Both Beard (4-time medalist from Atlanta and Sydney Games and a model) and Moses are young (21 and 22 years old), sexy, and own a full compliment of piercings and tattoos that afford them the opportunity to perfectly integrate into Red Bull’s other Action Sports athletes.

Ed Moses, 11-time world record-holder and 2-time medalist from the Sydney Games shared his thoughts on swimming as an extreme sport: "I will put my
workouts and training regimen up against any athlete’s in the world. If you want Action or Extreme, get up at 5 a.m. with me and train for three hours, then stretch, lift weights for another two hours. Red Bull
has become an important part of my training. When I increase my training and mental stress, Red Bull helps improve my endurance, alertness and concentration".

Beard and Moses will be Red Bull’s first endorsers in a traditional summer sport headed for Athens in 2004.

Evan Morgenstein of Premier Management Group (Raleigh, N.C.) commented, "Red Bull has shown a tremendous commitment toward helping swimmers like Amanda and
Ed reach their goals in Athens. This relationship is based on the athlete’s love of the product and the benefits they receive from utilizing it as part of their regular nutrition and fitness regiment."
