Johns Hopkins Men Drop a Close One to Navy, 125-112

ANNAPOLIS, MD, Oct. 25. DESPITE winning seven of the 13 events, the Johns Hopkins men's swimming team dropped its 2002-03 season-opener to Navy, 125-112, Friday night in Lejeune Hall.

Senior Scott Armstrong (Medford Lakes, NJ/West Morris Central/Bernards) led the Blue Jays by taking the 800 meter freestyle in 8:27.46 and the 400m freestyle in 4:05.39.

Other individual winners for Hopkins included freshman Sean Kim (Silver Spring, MD/Paint Branch), who captured the 200m butterfly in 2:10.44, and senior Justin Brannock (West Palm Beach, FL/Dreyfoos School of the Arts), who won the 100m freestyle in 53.18.
