US Water Polo Update

JUNE 1. IT'S off to "Chi-Town" for the U.S. women's water polo team. After taking third in last week's Russian tournament, the U.S. women's team is eager to do some homecookin' under the Red, White, and Blue. From June 6-8, they will do just that, playing host to Russia, Italy, and Australia in a three-day tournament in Chicago, Ill. Get all the team news and schedules you can handle at this link:

Team USA Men Take 3-1 Advantage in Exhibition Series with World All-Stars
The U.S. men's national team handed the World All-Stars their third loss in four games on Wednesday at La Canada High School in California, ousting the All-Star squad by a score of 14-11. (Yes, they combined for 25 goals. It's not a typo.)

The U.S. is looking good and is gearing up for the FINA World League which begins on June 28. And folks, water polo just doesn't get this good outside of the Olympics. If you haven't had the opportunity to see any of these guys in action, you'll have two shots this weekend, as the U.S. takes on the All-Stars in two more exhibitions at Cal Baptist College (Riverside, Calif.), and Foothill High School (Tustin, Calif.).
