Incredible Opportunity ‘ Coach Doug Ingram To Teach ASCA Leadership School at World Clinic 2014

Doug Ingram, Senior Director of International Games for the USOC, will be the instructor for the ASCA Level 4 Leadership School on Weds. Sept. 10 in Jacksonville at the 2014 World Clinic.

Coach Ingram will also deliver the Doc Counsilman Memorial Lecture that evening. With 23 years of swim coaching, 7 National NJCAA Championships and 6 Coach of the Year Honors, 173 All Americans and recipient of the USA Swimming Award for Service to the sport in 1993, added to his 22 years with the USOC, and his former ASCA Presidency, no one is better prepared to teach about Leadership. Many of our sports major leaders were mentored by Coach Ingram.

“Doug Ingram is the man many of us would most associate with the phrase “There is no limit to what we can accomplish if no one cares who gets the Credit.” Since the early 1970’s he has been one of the most amazing leaders in all of American Sport, and so few people know him…yet he has mentored so many of the current leaders in today’s USA-Swimming Community, myself among them. He’s almost a mythic figure…and no coach should pass up the opportunity to come learn Doug’s thoughts on leadership. Every successful Olympic Games we’ve had since the 1980’s, Doug has been an integral part of making it all work. He’s THE BEST!” (John Leonard, ASCA Executive Director)

“I know I can only hope to be half the leader that this man is. I cannot think of a better person to teach leadership. He’ll be Fantastic! Great call!” (Coach Jim Tierney, Northwestern University)

“At every stage of his remarkable career, Doug has epitomized the servant leader. Having been fortunate enough to be someone who has benefited from his leadership skills and style, I cannot imagine a better person to teach the ASCA Leadership School. This is a very special opportunity.”
Pat Hogan — Director — Club Development, USA Swimming.
