Stanford, Auburn Remain #1 and 2 in the Latest SPEEDO/CSCAA Women’s and Men’s Polls

COLORADO SPRINGS, March 5. THE latest Speedo/CSCAA poll shows Stanford and Auburn still solidly ranked as number one and two in the nation, respectively, in both the women's and men's rankings.

Arizona and Cal have vaulted into a tie for third spot in the women's poll, dropping Texas, previously ranked #3, to the fifth spot. Georgia, triple defending ncAA champ is sixth. Florida, upset winner of the SEC over Georgia, follows in seventh, while USC, which finished second in the Pac-10 behind Stanford is eighth. SMU and Notre Dame roun out the top 10.

On the men's side, Big-12 champion Texas, the double-defending national champs, remain in third, while Cal has jumped to fourth. Tennessee, which had a disappointing SEC meet is fifth. Minnesota, which won the Big-10s, is sixth, its highest ranking in years.
ASU and USC are seventh and eighth, respectively, followed by Arizona and Michigan.
