NCAA Div. I Women: SMU’s Wanberg Sisters Fry Rice

HOUSTON, Jan. 25. THE No. 9 SMU women's swimming & diving team won its third dual meet of the season Friday night in Houston, defeating Rice, 120-74.

The Mustangs dominated the meet, winning eight of the 11 races contested. Leading the charge were the Wanberg sisters, Lisa and Lotta, as the duo each won an event on the night.

Lotta broke into the winning circle on the night's third event, the 200 free, winning with a time of 1:51.03. Lisa followed two events later, winning the 200 IM with a time of 2:07.04.

Flavia Rigamonti continued to dominate in distance free events, winning both the 500 and 1,000 free Friday night.

Other winners for SMU included Anu Koivisto in the 200 butterfly and Alenka Kejzar in the 200 back. Both relay teams, the 200 medley and 200 free, were
victorious as well.

The Mustangs are in action Saturday as the Ponies stay in Houston to take on the Houston Cougars. The meet begins at 12:00 p.m.
