Abrahams Strokes to Two Masters World Records

LAKEWOOD, Colo., Nov. 18. RICH Abrahams, Rocky Mountain Masters, obliterated two Masters world short course records today at the Green Mountain Invitational in Lakewood Colo.

Competing in the men's 55-59 age group, Abrahams, who underwent shoulder surgery nine months ago, collected new world marks in the 50m freestyle and 100m butterfly.

In the 50 free, Abrahams, 56, touched in 25.64 seconds, well under Michael Ahern's record of 26.39 set last December.

In the 100 fly, Abrahams' 1:03.78 was two-and-a-half seconds under the old mark shared by the USA's Jim Poiletman and Germany's Bernd Schroeder at 1:06.29.
