PHOENIX, Arizona, July 7. MORE updates continue to come from Brazil in the wake of the positive drug test of four swimmers. After the results of the Maria Lenk Trophy meet were nullified for Cesar Cielo, Henrique Barbosa, Nicholas Santos and Vinicius Waked, the Brazilian swimming federation asked the next-fastest swimmers in the men's 200 breast and 100 free to fill in for Barbosa and Santos. Tales Cerdeira was slotted to swim the 200 breast in Barbosa's place at worlds, but the blog swim.com.br reports that Cerdeira has declined the invitation, opting to stay in Rio de Janeiro and compete in the world military games, which start next week. Cerdeira, who is ranked 19th in the world now in the 200 breast, wanted to enjoy the cheers of the home crowd instead of the prestige of worlds.
