Russian Cup: Curtains Close on Night Two

RUZA, Russia, July 2. THE Russian Cup kept rolling with long course meter competition from the Ruza region in Russia.

Aleksandr Shumaylov claimed the men's 50 free in 22.60, while Andrey Arbuzov touched second in 22.63. Vlad Morozov wound up third in 22.69. Aleksandre Celine finished first in the men's 400 free with a 3:50.37. Mihail Polishchuk touched second in 3:52.63, while Evgeny Kulikov earned third in 3:53.62.

Victoria Andreeva won the women's 100 free in 55.99, while Vitalina Simon took second in 56.08. Aleksandra Veselov placed third in 56.15. The quartet of Svetlanda Fedulova, Filatova Sofia, Victoria Andreeva and Veronika Popova won the women's 400 free relay in 3:45.70.

Anastasia Ivanenko turned in an 8:42.24 to win the women's 800 free, while Elena Shapovalov finished second in 9:00.70. Mariya Trubitsyna snared third in 9:02.26. Maria Gromova clocked a 1:01.56 in the women's 100 back for the win, while Kristina Vershinin touched second in 1:02.56. Aleksandra Papusha placed third in 1:02.72.

Anastasia Chaun topped the women's 200 breast in 2:27.96, while Natalya Geraskina took second in 2:30.17. Vera Kalashnikov placed third in 2:30.71. Anastasia Lyazeva won the women's 50 fly in 27.19, while Julia Mantsev placed secondin 27.34. Vasilisa Vladykina posted a third-place 27.49.

Meanwhile, Artem Dubovskoy captured the men's 200 back in 2:01.29. Grigory Falko won the men's 100 breast in 1:01.26, while Senkevich Vyacheslav took second in 1:01.60. Stanislav Lahtyuhov earned third in 1:01.65. Nikita Konovalov claimed the men's 100 fly in 53.41. Nikita Prokofiev finished second in 54.22, while Sergey Ivanov placed third in 54.26.
