Danish Open: Rikke Moeller Pedersen, Jeanette Ottesen Post World-Ranked Times

COPENHAGEN, Denmark, April 3. DURING the final day of long course meter swimming at the Danish Open, a pair of top-10 times went into the ledger.

Rikke Moeller Pedersen threw down a 2:24.91 to win the women's 200 breast, and jumped to fourth in the world rankings. Only Rebecca Soni (2:23.27), Annamay Pierse (2:24.10) and Martha McCabe (2:24.43) have been faster this year. Cecilie Holten finished second with a 2:36.07 with Frederikke Hall took third in 2:36.24.

Jeanette Ottesen moved up to eighth in the world rankings in the women's 100 fly with a triumphant time of 58.33. Celine Bertrand earned second in 1:02.08, while Christine Munkholm snagged third in 1:02.33.

Marcus Bak cruised to victory in the men's 200 back with a 2:04.82. Andreas Schiellerup placed second in 2:06.22, while Jonas Sorensen finished third in 2:08.03. Pernille Larsen dominated the women's 200 back in 2:13.81. Mie Nielsen took a distant second in 2:17.49, while Caroline Ohrstrom earned third in 2:21.10.

Chris Christensen snared the men's 200 breast crown in 2:16.30. Emil Klingberg (2:17.73) and Oliver Mirkovic (2:25.98) rounded out the top three. Nikolai Kirketerp-Moeller grabbed the men's 100 fly title in 54.10. Daniel Svane Halkjaer (54.65) and Sindri Jakobson (55.41) finished second and third.

Jakob Andkjaer won the men's 50 free in 22.72, but posted a 22.69 during semis. Jani Rusi placed second in 23.15, while Frederik Siem Pedersen picked up third in 23.41. Pernille Blum finished first in the women's 50 free in 25.57. Louise Hansson (26.32) and Line Praest Lauridsen (26.37) finished second and third.

Pal Joensen won the men's 1500 free in 15:21.86, while Anders Lie took second in 15:40.47. Viktor Bromer placed third in 16:01.71. Lotte Friis claimed the women's 1500 free title in 16:07.45. Elin Slaatmo (16:57.36) and Randi Fogh Nielsen (17:22.48) completed the podium.

In disability events, Lasse Andersen was listed first in the men's 100 free with a 57.13, while Amalie Vinther was listed first in the women's 100 free with a 1:14.92.
