FINA Announces Two-Year Antidoping Ban of Slovakia’s Lubos Krizko

LAUSANNE, Switzerland, March 25. FINA recently announced that Slovakia's Lubos Krizko has been banned for two-years retroactive to Sept. 22, 2010, for a doping violation.

Here is FINA's announcement on the ban:

"On August 12, 2010, Mr. Lubos Krizko (SVK) was tested positive to a metabolite of Tamoxifen (Class S4.2 Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulators SERMs) with the occasion of the European Championships.

On December 13, 2010, the FINA Doping Panel held a hearing in regard to this case. The FINA Doping Panel has decided according to FINA Rules DC 10 a period of two (2) years ineligibility, starting on September 22, 2010."
