Polish Grand Prix, Ciechanow: Radoslaw Kawecki Dominates With Five Golds

CIECHANOW, Poland, February 27. DURING the Polish Grand Prix held in Ciechanow, Poland, Radoslaw Kawecki put on a show with five gold medals in the short course meter meet.

Kawecki took home the men's 50 back in 25.08. He followed with a 23.36 to win the men's 50 free. Kawecki then earned his third title of the meet with a smoking 1:53.56 in the men's 200 back. His fourth victory came by way of a 50.99 in the men's 100 free before earning his fifth title with a 53.41 in the men's 100 back.

Aleksandra Urbanczyk touched in 28.00 to win the women's 50 back. She doubled up on day one with a 25.66 to win the women's 50 free. Urbanczyk tripled with a 1:01.95 to snatch the women's 100 IM crown.

Mirela Olczak won the women's 200 fly in 2:11.99, then clocked a 1:02.33 for the women's 100 fly title. Her third title came in the women's 400 free with a 4:16.46 for the win.

Adam Plutecki touched in 24.50 to win the men's 50 fly, then doubled up with a 28.54 to win the men's 50 breast. Pawel Korzeniowski topped the men's 800 free in 7:57.17. He doubled up with a 1:48.70 to win the men's 200 free.

Marcelina Radlinska turned in a 28.34 for the women's 50 fly crown. She returned in the women's 200 IM with a 2:14.37 for the win. Agnieszka Ostrowska hit the wall in 2:28.48 to win the women's 200 breast. She then claimed the women's 100 breast title in 1:10.85.

Dawid Szulich posted a 2:15.02 to win the men's 200 breast. Szulich doubled with a 1:01.21 to win the men's 100 breast. Klaudia Nazieblo snatched the women's 200 back in 2:11.59. Nazieblo touched in 1:00.52 to capture the women's 100 back.

Jakub Jasinski snatched the men's 200 IM title in 2:04.27. He claimed his second title of the meet with a 57.56 in the men's 100 IM.

Paula Zukowska won the women's 800 free in 8:47.05, while Paulina Zachoszcz claimed the women's 50 breast in 32.54. Diana Sokolowska turned in a 2:01.31 to win the women's 200 free, while Katarzyna Wilk stopped the clock in 56.83 to win the women's 100 free. Karolina Urbanska topped the women's 400 IM in 4:46.15.

Mateusz Kierkowski took home the men's 200 fly crown in 2:01.49, while Marcin Babuchowski turned in a 54.48 to win the men's 100 fly. Krzysztof Pielowski nabbed the men's 400 free crown in 3:54.79, while Karol Zaczynski clinched the men's 400 IM title in 4:26.03.
