Bluegrass Mountain Conference Championships, Day Two

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina, February 17. THE Lenoir-Rhyne Men's and Women's Swimming Teams broke six more school records Friday on the second full day of competition at the 2012 Bluegrass Mountain Conference Championship at the Mecklenburg Aquatic Club.
In the team standings, the L-R women's squad is in seventh with 126 points while the men's team is in 11th place with 73 points.
Johns Hopkins (567 points) and Wingate (525 points) lead the women's and men's rankings, respectively, with one more day of swimming to go.
Both Lenoir-Rhyne's 200-yard medley relay teams broke school records with times of 1:52.89 (women) and 1:38.18 (men).
Freshman Chelsea Kyle (Knoxville, Tenn.) finished second in the women's 100-yard butterfly in 56.36 seconds, a new Lenoir-Rhyne mark.
Meanwhile, freshman Chris Tilque (Charlotte, N.C.) swam a school-record 53.43 seconds in the men's 100-yard backstroke.
L-R senior Lindsay Atkin (Hickory, N.C.) also set a new program mark in the women's 100-yard breaststroke (1:07.27) as did freshman Kyle Hites (Lenoir, N.C.) in the men's 100-yard breaststroke (59.75).
The final day of competition for the 2012 Bluegrass Mountain Conference Men's and Women's Swimming Championships takes place on Saturday in Charlotte, N.C.
