BYU, New Mexico vs. TCU

FORT WORTH, Texas, January 28. TCU's swimming and diving teams each recorded wins Friday evening at the TCU University Rec Center Natatorium on the night dedicated to the program's 16 seniors.

The men's team used a 400-freestyle relay win in the meet's last event to power past the Cougars, 156-144, while the women were victorious over New Mexico, 154-121.

TCU (4-1, 4-1 Mountain West Conference) appeared in control of the meet at the second break as it clung to an 18-point lead. However, BYU surged within seven points when it went 1-2 in the 200-individual medley going into the 400-freestyle relay.

The Horned Frogs' "A" 400-freestyle relay, featuring seniors Rourke Barrett and Dan Bodin, wasn't going to let the Cougars (3-3, 1-3) spoil their senior night. Those two, along with Laszlo Gyurko and Devin Price clocked a 3:03.84 to seal the win for TCU.

Another Frog senior's performance highlighted the night for TCU. Kyle Callens racked up 380.15 points on the 3-meter springboard. The Deer Park, Texas, native's score is a TCU record and he will leave the program with school records on the 1-meter and 3-meter springboards.

Crespo was a winner in the 100-breaststroke in 56.37 and the 200-breaststroke in 2:04.20. The Panama City, Panama, native has 10 individual wins this season to lead the Frogs.

TCU's women's team improved to 4-4 overall and 4-4 in the MWC after downing New Mexico, but falling to BYU.
