St. Cloud State, Wisconsin-Eau Claire vs. Wisconsin-Stevens Point

STEVENS POINT, Wisconsin, October 30. THE St. Cloud State men's and women's swimming & diving team had a solid outing in a three-team meet Saturday afternoon winning three of four duals against the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point and the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire.

The women's team beat the UW-Stevens Point 195.50 to 103.50 and beat up on the UW-Eau Claire 191 to 108, while the men beat UW-Eau Claire 218 to 75 and lost to UW-Stevens Point 126 to 164.

Overall, the Huskies won 18 events including all four diving events, as freshman Jasmine Lee (Green Bay, Wis.) recorded wins in multiple events as she came out on top in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:01.41 and then she posted the top time in the 200 IM with a time of 2:12.81.

She also helped junior Amber Alexander (Minot, N.D.), freshman Lindsey Mikrut (Genoa City, Wis.) and senior April Greene (Sun Prairie, Wis.) win the 400 medley relay in 4:05.25.

Alexander also won the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:08.89

Senior Cassi Mrozek (Inver Grove Heights) had a solid day on the diving board, winning both the three meter dive with a final score of 259.85 and the one meter dive with a total score of 229.55.

Sophomore Chris White (Rochester) took home a win in the one meter dive with a final tally of 282, while freshman Malachi Bennet (Casper, Wyo.) won the final event of the day with a 298.60 score in the three meter dive.

Freshman Napoleon Howell (St. Augustine, Trinidad) also won multiple events Saturday with a top time of :59.88 in the 100 yard breaststroke before winning the 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 2:14.18.

The Huskies will next travel to Gustavus Adolphus College next Saturday. The time of the event will be announced later this week.
