Niagara vs. Youngstown State

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio, October 23. THE Niagara women's swimming and diving team was defeated in a dual meet against the host Youngstown State Penguins by a 191-109 margin on Saturday afternoon.

Niagara was led by two double-winners in sophomore Lindsey Jackson and sophomore Julia Bulmahn. Jackson won the 1,000 yard free event (10:52.41) and the 400 yard IM (4:46.58), while Bulmahn won the 100 yard backstroke (1:01.73) and the 200 yard backstroke (2:15.37). Aubrey Kettrick won the 200 yard free event with a time of 1:59.43.

Ashley Jones was Niagara's top finisher in both the 1-meter diving event and the 3-meter diving event, finishing in third place in the 1-meter event (236.62) and in fourth place in the 3-meter event (202.65).

The Purple Eagles are back in action on Nov. 6, when they host MAAC foe Siena at 1 p.m.
