Western Illinois vs. Saint Louis

SAINT LOUIS, Missouri, October 8. SAINT Louis University swimming and diving claimed victory in all but one race as the Billikens won their home opener against Western Illinois. The men's team was victorious 181-40, while the women won 179-40.

Lizzy Osterman, Taylor Rogers and Taylor Streid all claimed two first-place finishes for the women's side. Ariel Hyams won the 200-yard IM and Anne Christensen came home first in the 100-yard breast. Hannah Tautz claimed the one-meter diving event with 211.95 points.

Will Butzke and Chris Mandi were multiple winners for the men. Kyle Embrey, Mike Kelly, Stephen Sheridan and Hunter Stevensen all took first place in their events. Chad Carmichael won the one-meter board with 258.35 points.

The Billikens return to action when they travel across town to face Washington University. The meet begins at 1 p.m.
