United States Women’s Water Polo Player Identification Program Clinics & Tryouts

The USWP Women's National Program is conducting a series of eight (8) Player Identification Clinic and Tryouts across the country, in the May 2001. We have designed these events to not only have an opportunity to see and evaluate athletes but to assist them in developing the skills necessary to succeed in our sport at all levels. It is also an opportunity to further develop our sport nationally and to continue building a "true" National Player Identification Program.

These programs are open to coaches as well. All programs will include educational and video sessions for both coaches and athletes. These events will give women's water polo athletes and coaches the chance to learn and see the "system of play" along with evaluative skills and tactics used by the Women's National Teams.

All programs will be conducted by USWP Women's National Team Coaches and Athletes. Directly from these events, a number of athletes will be invited to attend an Invitation Only Women's Junior National Team Selection Camp, scheduled for June 16-17, 2001. We have also scheduled an Invitation Only Youth National Team Training Camp, scheduled for November 23-26, 2001, to which they also may receive an invitation.

Sunday, May 20th, 2001: USWP Training Center, Los Alamitos, California
