European Championships: Valerio Cleri Claims Men’s 25K Event

BUDAPEST, Hungary, August 7. THE fourth day of open water action at the 2010 European Championships featured the men's 25K event.

Italy's Valerio Cleri earned a convincing triumph with a time of 5:16:38.3. France picked up the rest of the podium spots with Bertrand Venturi (5:16:54.7) and Joanes Hedel (5:18:57.6) taking second and third.

Italy's Edoardo Stochino (5:19:39.3), Czech Republic's Rostislav Vitek (5:19:41.6), Ukraine's Igor Chervynskyi (5:19:50.7), Italy's Andrea Bondanini (5:19:55.0) and Azerbaijan's Sergiy Fesenko (5:19:56.4) picked up the fourth through eighth spots.
