Far Western Long Course Championships: Ben Wooldridge Doubles in 10&Unders

CONCORD, California, August 1. THE last night of action at the Far Western Long Course Championships came to a close with Crow Canyon's Ben Wooldridge picking up two more titles to cap a strong meet.

In 17-18 events, Taylor Carlson nabbed the women's 100 breast in 1:16.04, while Chris Leon captured the men's 100 breast in 1:08.98. Jill Jones won the women's 100 fly in 1:05.76, while Matt Frey hit the wall in 58.37 to win the men's 100 fly.

In 15-16 events, Celina Li topped the girls 100 breast in 1:13.76, while Cole Hurwitz took home the boys 100 breast in 1:07.01. Hilvy Cheung won the girls 100 fly in 1:03.47 after clocking a 1:03.45 in prelims, while Luis Macias topped the boys 100 fly in 58.59. Pleasanton's Allison Brown, Li, Catherine Breed and Sasha Alcon snagged the women's 15-18 400 medley relay title in 4:23.62.Crow Canyon's Dillon Williams, Brett Usinger, Andy Wooldridge and Cody Tanabe placed first in the men's 15-18 400 medley relay with a 4:07.41.

In 13-14 events, Heidi Poppe claimed the girls 100 breast in 1:14.11, while Noah Stewart edged Jonathan Panchak, 1:10.42 to 1:10.50, for the boys 100 breast win. Linnea Mack snared the girls 100 fly in 1:04.72, while Justin Lynch earned the boys 100 fly title in 58.29. Crow Canyon's Jenny Barcellona, Heidi Poppe, Sara Nicolosi and Natalie Amberg claimed the girls 400 medley relay in 4:31.74. Palo Alto Stanford's William Lee, Jarrod Mock, Andrew Liang and Sean Nguyen earned the boys 400 medley relay in 4:19.96.

In 11-12 events, Sarah Shimomura won the girls 400 free in 4:38.18, while Aidan Burns topped the boys 400 free in 4:28.94. Valerie Wang claimed the girls 100 breast in 1:17.20, while Curtis Shinn earned the boys 100 breast win in 1:13.75. Brittany Usinger garnered the girls 100 fly in 1:04.28, while Daichi Matsuda posted a 1:03.02 to win the boys 100 fly. Crow Canyon's Brenda Shanahan, Kaya Philapil, Ariana Saghafi and Usinger won the girls 400 medley relay in 4:39.80. Palo Alto Stanford's Joe Molinari, Matsuda, Alex Liang and Bo Field clinched the boys 400 medley relay in 4:45.81.

In 10 and under events, Jacee Frivaldo touched out Raime Jones, 5:03.60 to 5:03.67, for the girls 400 free title. Ben Wooldridge snatched the boys 400 free victory in 5:09.47. Karah Folk snared the girls 100 breast in 1:27.76, while Lyon Zhang won the boys 100 breast in 1:27.66. Audrey Chin turned in a 1:15.83 to win the girls 100 fly, while Wooldridge doubled up with a 1:14.03 in the boys 100 fly.
