Texas Senior Circuit, Austin: Karlee Bispo Doubles

AUSTIN, Texas, July 10. THE first two nights of the Texas Senior Circuit held in Austin featured a one-night double by Karlee Bispo. The meet is taking place over long course meters.

Laura Sogar cruised to victory in the women's 200 breast with a 2:30.71, while Catherine Wagner touched a distant second in 2:34.93. Romy Landeck placed third in 2:39.25. Eric Shanteau then won the men's 200 breast in 2:15.16, while Matt Elliott earned second in 2:16.13. Eric Friedland rounded out the podium with a 2:19.42.

Kathleen Hersey dominated the women's 200 fly with a 2:12.05, while Brooke Watson took home second in 2:15.04. Laura Harrington finished third in 2:15.05. David Mosko captured the men's 200 fly in 2:01.12 over Aaron Peirsol. Peirsol snatched second in 2:01.13. Neil Caskey finished third in 2:02.11.

Karlee Bispo topped the women's 50 free in 25.90, holding off Harrington's second-podium finish of the night – a second-place 25.97. Kelsey Amundsen placed third in 26.62. Jimmy Feigen claimed the men's 50 free title in 22.85, while Dave Walters took second in 23.08. Dax Hill earned third-place honors in 23.58, while Garrett Weber-Gale DQed due to a false start.

Bispo doubled up with a 4:16.60, while Samantha Tucker snatched second place in 4:17.76. Maureen McLaine finished third overall in 4:20.46. Ricky Berens claimed the men's 400 free going away in 3:54.33, while Mosko took second in 3:58.81. Michael McBroom placed third in 3:59.47.

During the first night of swimming on Thursday, McLaine won the women's 1500 free in 17:08.28, while Erin Sosdian finished second in 17:19.43. Natalie Sacco wound up third in 17:19.52. McBroom followed in the men's 800 free with a winning 8:16.69. Michael Zoldos (8:21.16) and Elliot Dewlen (8:30.62) completed the top three in the event.
