Oklahoma 6A High School State Championships

OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma, March 10. JENKS, Edmond North and Union were top finishers at the Oklahoma 6A High School State Championships. On the girls' side, Jenks tallied 327 points for first followed by Union (294) and Edmond North (256.5). The Jenks boys won with 331 points while Edmond North took second (250) and Union placed third (223).

Girls Results
Union's Makenzie Hermann, Erika McGovern (the 100 breast champ in 1:08.57), Kayla Bertalot, and Megan Myers opened the meet with a win in the 200 medley relay (1:52.41).

Myers was a dual event winner in the 200 IM (2:09.50) and the 500 freestyle (5:03.73).

Montana Gaffney (Jenks) had individual wins in the 200 and 100 freestyles. She clocked time of 1:54.15 and 53.24, respectively.

Michelle Glass (Jenks) won the 100 butterfly in 1:02.12. She teamed up with Veronica Threadgill, Courtaney Miller and Gaffney for a win in the 200 freestyle relay (1:41.13).

Enid's Megan Holthoff won the 50 freestyle (24.55) and the 100 backstroke (59.66).

Hailey Jensen teamed up with Miller, Gaffney, and Glass for a first-place finish in the 400 freestyle relay (3:41.06).

Boys Results
Sean Simpson, John Alba, Zane Gray, and Ford Parsons (Edmond North) won the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:40.87.

Union's Eastman Holloway was a dual event winner in the 200 and 500 freestyles. He clocked times of 1:40.28 and 4:32.22, respectively.

Jacob Pearce (Jenks) had individual wins in the 50 (20.53) and 100 (44.99) freestyles. He teamed up with Trey Tipton, Colby DeWeese and Tom Seidel for a win in the 200 freestyle relay (1:27.96).

Westmoore's Dakota Wheeler won the 100 butterfly (51.04) and the 100 breaststroke (59.50).

Tipton, DeWeese, Jake Burris, and Pearce closed the meet with a first-place finish in the 400 freestyle relay (3:13.94).
