USA Swimming Sectionals, Nashville: Andrejs Duda Doubles

NASHVILLE, Tennessee, March 6. ON Saturday night, Andrejs Duda doubled up at the USA Swimming Sectionals held in Nashville. The meet took place in short course yards.

GCAT's Patricia Forrester won the women's 200 fly in 2:00.64, while Lakeside's Summer Stephens finished second in 2:01.25. Marietta Marlin Liz Braun touched third in 2:01.99. New South's Brett Boston topped the men's 200 fly in 1:50.44, while Pilot's Alex Ward took second in 1:50.91. Swim Atlanta's Conor Monaghan placed third in 1:51.13.

Star's Faith Johnson claimed the women's 50 free in 23.19, while Lakeside's Mary Mittel finished second in 23.34. Rays' Sammie Bosma rounded out the top three in 23.77. Swim Atlanta's Andrejs Duda snared the men's 50 free title in 20.68, while Dynamo's Jack Lane placed second in 20.93. Summit's Doug Reynolds wound up third in 21.18.

WSAA's Erin Malone touched in 2:11.91 for the women's 200 breast title. Marlins of Raleigh Nicole Giamber (2:17.59) and Colonel's Kaylin Burchell (2:18.01) finished second and third. Dynamo's Peter Haas placed first in the men's 200 breast in 2:03.77. Lakeside's Andrew Braun earned second in 2:06.39, while Duke's Christopher Dong grabbed third in 2:06.60.

Mittell picked up her second podium with a winning time of 55.16 in the women's 100 back. Rays' Erin Reisinger finished second in 55.44, while Swim Spartanburg's Chrissy Oberg took third in 56.06. Duda doubled up with a 48.84 to win the men's 100 back. Lane finished second to Duda again with a 50.22, while teammate Allen Browning took third in 50.83.

Marlins of Raleigh Victoria Mitchell won the women's 500 free in 4:52.14, while Anniina Ala-Seppala finished second in 4:54.83. Xcel's Sara Menke garnered third in 4:54.99. Pilot's Evan Pinion followed with a 4:24.39 for the win in the men's 500 free. Swim Atlanta's Zachary Tillman (4:28.47) and Greensboro's Mike Donnalley (4:33.83) completed the top three.
