Missouri Girls High School State Championships

ST. PETERS, Missouri, February 22. LAFAYETTE (Wildwood) won the Missouri Girls High School State Championships with 227 points. Glendale and MICDS followed with scores of 223.50 and 184, respectively.

Trey Ross, Annie Goessling, Hallie Stupp, and Masha Podokshik (MICDS) won the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:47.92. Stupp was a dual event winner in the 200 IM (2:03.79) and the 100 butterfly. She set a set record in the 100 butterfly with a time of 54.87.

Junior Michelle Tipton (Fort Zumwalt West) had individual wins in the 200 and 500 freestyles. She clocked times of 1:50.70 and 5:01.26, respectively.

Hannibal's Rebekah Land won the 50 freestyle (23.65) and the 100 backstroke (56.30). She teamed up with JaLynn Gieseke, Meredith Voss and Kay Gieseke for a win in the 200 freestyle relay (1:37.77).

Mary Kate Hardy of Parkway West won the diving competition with a score of 417.20 followed by Tamesha Peterson of Liberty (399.30) and Bre Schlenger of Blue Springs South (377.90).

Jessi Holz (Lafayette) won the 100 freestyle (52.18). She joined Ashleigh Grammar, Samantha Wright and Shannon McCoy for a first-place finish in the 400 freestyle relay (3:31.06).
