USA Diving Names Grand Prix Team

INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana, February 10. USA Diving has selected the divers who will represent the U.S. in the individual events at the 2010 AT&T USA Diving Grand Prix, set for May 6-9 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Divers who placed in the top four on the individual 3-meter and 10-meter events at the USA Diving Winter National Championships in Columbus, Ohio from February 4-8 were named to the team.

The AT&T USA Diving Grand Prix regularly draws the top divers from around the world, with approximately 20 countries and a number of Olympians competing each year.

Seven members of the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team are among the divers selected to compete for Team USA. Olympians David Boudia (Noblesville, Ind.), Kelci Bryant (Chatham, Ill.), Chris Colwill (Brandon, Fla.), Troy Dumais (Ventura, Calif.), Thomas Finchum (Indianapolis, Ind.), Haley Ishimatsu (Seal Beach, Calif.) and Christina Loukas (Riverwoods, Ill.) have been named to the team. The team also includes 2009 World Championships silver medalist Kristian Ipsen (Clayton, Calif.) and 2009 World Championships team member Nick McCrory (Chapel Hill, N.C.)

Synchronized teams for the AT&T USA Diving Grand Prix will be selected in Indianapolis on April 10-11. The synchronized teams for the FINA World Cup and Canada Cup will also be selected then.
