2010 U.S. Collegiate Synchronized Swimming Championships Come to Stanford University

PALO ALTO, California, March 10. THE 34th annual U.S. Collegiate Synchronized Swimming Championships will make a splash at the Avery Aquatic Center on the campus of Stanford University, March 11-13. Stanford is no stranger to USA Synchro as it has previously hosted the U.S. National Championships (2009 and 2004) and the U.S. Collegiate Championships (2006).

More than 200 of the top athletes from the collegiate scene will vie for titles in the solo, duet, trio and team events. The Championships are an open-class meet, combining competition from NCAA Divisions I, II, and III and NAIA colleges and universities.

The Ohio State University (Columbus, Ohio), the reigning Collegiate National Champion, will be looking to add to its collection of 25 Collegiate National titles while Stanford University will be in search of its seventh. Other top contenders include Canisius College (Buffalo, N.Y.) which placed third in 2009 and the University of the Incarnate Word (San Antonio, Texas), which took home fourth place respectively.

Plenty of talent will be on display including 2009 USA Synchro National Team Members, Deborah Chen, Maria Koroleva and Olivia Morgan of Stanford and Meghan Kinney, Hannah Shively and Michelle Theriault of Ohio State.

Tickets will be sold at the gate. An adult all-session pass will be $25 while student all-session passes will be $15. Tickets for Thursday and Friday will be $8 for adults and $5 for students, youth and senior citizens. Tickets for Saturday will be $12 for adults and $8 for students, youth and senior citizens.
