Scottish Short Course Nationals: Hannah Miley Adds Three More Titles, Scottish Record; Robbie Renwick, Andrew Mayor Shine on Second Night

GLASGOW, Scotland, January 16. HANNAH Miley continued her good form into the second evening of finals at the Scottish Short Course Nationals adding three more titles and a Scottish record to the four golds she picked up on day one.

Miley opened the evening with a Scottish record in the women's 200 back finishing in a time of 2:09.32. That effort narrowly clipped her previous mark, which stood at 2:09.64 from last year's championships. Fiona Donnelly (2:13.43) and Emma Hunter (2:16.48) finished second and third.

Miley followed this up with a 1:01.43 effort to win the women's 100 fly. Laura Dawson picked up second in 1:02.42, while Lucy Ellis grabbed third in 1:02.48

Showcasing her dexterity, the Garioch swimmer then added her seventh title of the meet winning the women's 400 free in 4:11.46 Claire Dawson snatched second in 4:16.11 while Helen McRoberts finished third in 4:20.21.

After winning the 50 and 400 free events yesterday, Robbie Renwick added the 100 free title to his collection out-dueling Ryan Bennett, 49.84 to 50.22. Jak Scott wound up third in 50.34.

Andrew Mayor produced a powerful display to add the 200 fly to the 100 crown he picked up on day one, winning in a time of 1:58.18. Lewis Smith grabbed second in 2:02.34, while Cameron Brodie finished third in 2:03.39.

Elsewhere, Lewis Smith added the 200 IM title to the 100 IM, which he won on day one triumphing in 2:03.72. Fast-finishing Daniel Wallace finished second 2:04.87, while Ross Muir completed the podium in 2:04.90.

Matthew Henry topped the men's 1500 free in 15:45.44, while Ian Porteous (15:52.18) Euan Inglis (15:53.04) rounded out the top three.

Claire Dawson touched out Lucy Ellis in the women's 50 free 25.94 to 25.96. Sara Hamilton finished third in 26.05.

In the most hotly-contested event of the evening, Jamie Graham overhauled Douglas Scott, 1:02.54 to 1:02.81, to win the men's 100 breast. Ross Clarke (1:02.85) had to settle for third.

Ryan Bennett emerged victorious in the men's 50 back winning in a time of 25.03. Rounding out the top three were Darren ward (26.16) and Rory Lamont (26.45).

Fiona Booth (32.32) edged Corrie Scott (32.62) to win the women's 50 breast. Roisin Donnelly snared third place in 33.05.

Eloise Barber closed out the evening's events winning the women's 100 IM in 1:03.09. Corrie Scott (1:04.89) and Sara Hamilton (1:05.74) finished second and third, respectively.
