Passages: UCSD’s Ryan Kloos, 24

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti, January 15. ACCORDING to a report by the Del Mar Times, former UC San Diego Ryan Kloos was a casualty in the earthquake that hit Haiti yesterday and caused countless damage and death.

Kloos was in Haiti with his sister Erin doing volunteer medical work at the Children's Hospital in Haiti. Erin, a former University of Washington swimmer, survived the collapse of five stories of the hospital.

Kloos was a four-year letterman at UC San Diego, and was a biochemistry/cell biology major at Muir College.
