New England Swimming Senior Championships

BOSTON, Massachusetts, December 22. THE Bluefish Swim Club dominated throughout the New England Swimming Senior Championships by sweeping the relays, and with help from multiple winners Alex Frasier and Luca Spinazzola in the short course yard competition.

For the women, Frasier won the 50 free (23.72), 100 free (51.45), and 200 free (1:50.05). Frasier was also a member of all three winning relays for the Bluefish.

National Team member Eva Fabian, from Greenwood Memorial Swim Club, also tripled up on individual wins in the 500 free (4:51.53), 1000 free (9:48.08), and 1650 free (16:25.99).

Massachusetts High School State Champions, Rachel Moore of Magnus Aquatic Group and Anna Senko of Bluefish Swim Club were also multiple winners for the meet. Moore won the 100 back (55.62) and the 100 fly (56.58), while Senko swam to wins in both the 200 back (1:58. 48) and the 200 IM (2:04.26).

Emily Parillo of Greenwood Memorial Swim Club won the 200 fly (2:01.78) dropping almost four and a half seconds from her preliminary swim with Moore in a close second (2:01.91).

Kaylin Moss of the Wilton-Y Wahoos Swim Club ran away with two wins in the 100 breast (1:04.33) and 200 breast (2:18.90).

On the men's side, Spinazzola walked away with an impressive five individual wins in the 200 free (1:40.70), 500 free (4:35.03), 1000 free (9:09.64), 1650 free (15:37.14) and 100 back (50.77). Spinazzola was also part of the winning 400 free relay and 800 free relay and was awarded men's high point winner of the championship.

Kevin Bradley of Magnus Aquatic Group swam to second behind Spinazzola in the 1000 free (9:25.33) breaking the 25-year-old 13-14 New England Record by almost eight seconds previously held by Alex Kostich of Bernal's Gators Swim Club.

Other multiple winners include William Dunn of Bluefish Swim Club in the 50 free (20.98) and 100 free (46.36), Patrick Meyers, also of Bluefish Swim Club, in the 200 back (1:49.83) and 200 fly (1:49.63), and Taylor Grey from Green Mountain Aquatics in the 200 breast (2:01.90) and 200 IM (1:52.46).

The Bluefish Swim Club won the meet with a total of 3,785.50 points, Magnus Aquatic Group was second with 3,038.50 points, and Bernal's Gator Swim Club took third with 2,020.50 points.
