SYDNEY, Australia, December 13. ACCORDING to an ABC Sport report coming out of Australia, Libby Trickett is expected to announce her retirement from the sport at a press conference scheduled for later today Down Under.

Trickett, a three-time Olympic gold medalist, had an off meet for her at the 2009 World Championships with just a silver and a pair of bronze medals. The performance was definitely not up to her usual standards after five golds in Melbourne 2007 and three in Montreal 2005.

Trickett will finish her career with six Olympic medals, eight world long course titles and 15 overall world long course championship medals. She's also been vastly successful in short course competition with seven world titles and 12 overall world short course championship medals.
