Louisiana Division 3 High School State Championships

SULPHUR, Louisiana, November 24. EDWARD Douglas White Catholic and Holy Cross took first at the Louisiana Division 3 High School State Championships. On the girls' side, Edward Douglas White Catholic tallied 381 points for first place followed by Parkview (295) and Academy of the Sacred Heart (291). The Holy Cross boys scored 444 points while Parkview took second (337.5) and Edward Douglas White Catholic placed third (196).

Girls Results
Edward Douglas White Catholic won two of three relays. Michelle Gaubert, Alexandra Caillouet, Lauren Becnel, and Sydney Amedee won the 200 medley relay with a time of 2:02.12. Gaubert was a dual event winner in the 50 (25.72) and 100 (56.26) freestyles.

Sophomore Danielle Albert (Loyola College Prep) had first-place finishes in the 200 (2:07.91) and 500 (5:43.42) freestyles.

Becnel, Julie Lefort, Victoria Roy, and Caillouet won the 200 freestyle relay with a time of 1:55.64.

Loyola College Prep's Chelsea Russell had individual wins in the 200 IM (2:19.97) and the 100 butterfly (1:02.19). She teamed up with Olivia Moore, Justine Russell, and Albert for a win in the 400 freestyle relay (4:06.89).

Boys Results
Parkview won two of three relays. Alex Vicknair, John Michael Moore, Clint Dodge, and Dainon Miles took first place in the 200 medley relay (1:46.92). Miles also won the 100 backstroke with a time of 58.13.

Jarrod Brown (Redemptorist) had first-place finishes in the 200 freestyle (1:50.08) and the 100 butterfly (54.70).

Senior Brad Montet (Holy Cross) won the 50 (23.08) and 100 (50.40) freestyles. He teamed up with Grant Artigue, Garrett Daguimol, and Colby Lyons for a win in the 200 freestyle relay (1:38.33).

Moore had first-place finishes in the 200 IM (1:56.22) and the 500 freestyle (4:50.31). He joined Miles, Dodge, and Garret Morris for a win in the 400 freestyle relay (3:30.96).
