The Bolles School Shines at the Florida 1A High School State Championships

ORLANDO, Florida, November 15. RYAN Murphy, Sergio Lujan Rivera, Timmy Romano, and Tommy Gutman (Bolles) highlighted the Florida 1A High School Championships with a national high school record in the boys 200 medley relay. The group clocked a time of 1:29.79 –
surpassing the previous record of 1:31.10 set by Mercersburg Academy in 1992.

Girls Results
The Bolles School claimed the state title with 462.5 points followed by Pine Crest (175) and Saint Andrew's School (143).

Aubrey Peacock, Kendall Sieron, Megan Fonteno, and Dana Nessler (Bolles) won the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:42.37. Nessler tied with Ashlei Johnson (Ransom Everglades) in the individual 50-yard freestyle with a time of 23.46.

Bishop Verot's Stephanie Peacock was a dual event winner in the 200 (1:46.73) and 500 (4:41.63) freestyles. S. Peacock, who is a five-star recruit in the Swimming World College Recruit rankings powered by Take Your Marks, will be headed to the University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill) in the fall.

Fonteno, A. Peacock, and Nessler teamed up with Nelle Glasser in the 200 freestyle relay. The girls set a state record with a time of 1:33.90. The previous record (1:34.37) was set by Pine Crest (S. Eisenring, M. Quinn, L. Mosley, and B. Atkinson) in 2007.

Junior Patti Kranz (Westminster Academy) won the diving competition with a score of 495.75. Sydney Couch (Lake Highland) took second (483.70) and Danielle Risley (Bolles) placed third (466.75).

Five-star recruit A. Peacock bettered her state record in the 100 backstroke from last year with a time of 53.82. She teamed up with Fonteno, Nessler, and Alexandra Lundgren for a win in the 400 freestyle relay (3:25.37).

Boys Results
In addition to the 200 medley relay, The Bolles School also won the 200 and 400 freestyle relays. These wins helped The Bolles School tally 484 points for the state title. American Heritage took second with 214 points and Pine Crest placed third (205).

Senior Patrick Ceddia (Cardinal Mooney) had individual wins in the 200 (1:37.38) and 500 (4:24.00) freestyles. Ceddia is a five-star recruit who is headed to the University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill) in the fall.

Pompano Beach's Noah Garcia won the diving competition with a score of 610.45. Michael Lewark (American Heritage) and Alex Pecci III (Trinity Prep) followed with scores of 536.20 and 485.15 respectively.
Five-star recruit Tommy Gutman took first in the 50 freestyle with a time of 20.14. He joined Colin Hamilton, Blair Schiller, and Chris Sadsad for a win the 200 freestyle relay. The group clocked a state record with a time of 1:23.09. Schiller also won the 100 freestyle with a time of 45.14.

Lujan Rivera, a member of the 200 medley relay team, took control of the 100 breaststroke with a time of 55.33. He won the event by 3.02 seconds.

Murphy, a freshman, was a dual event winner in the 200 IM (1:53.22) and the 100 backstroke (50.31). He teamed up with Gutman, Schiller, and Hamilton to close the meet with a win in the 400 freestyle relay (3:03.07).
