Several More Five Star Recruits Make College Decisions

PHOENIX, Arizona, November 6. IT was another busy 24 hours in the Swimming World College Recruit Rankings as several more recruits made their commitments known publicly through the system.

Five star Adam Maczewski made the decision to attend Pittsburgh. Maczewski, who swims for the Pittsburgh Panthers and preps at Queen Jadwiga's, holds long course senior national cuts in the 100-meter back (56.15) and 200-meter back (2:05.42).

Five star Gabrielle Shishkoff joined sister Kassia in the Big Ten, but won't be headed to Northwestern as Gabrielle chose Penn State. Shishkoff, who swam for Raleigh of Marlins and prepped at Franklin High before heading to Bluefish, holds long course senior national cuts in the 200-meter back (2:18.97), 200-meter fly (2:15.30) and 400-meter IM (4:52.90). She also would have qualified to swim at the 2009 NCAA Division I Championships in the 400-yard IM (4:13.29). Shishkoff joins four stars Chelsea Howard and Claire Singley at PSU.

Five star Doug Reynolds elected to join six star Will Freeman and four other five stars at Georgia in the Class of 2010. Reynolds, who swims for Summit Chase Aquatics and preps at Loganville High, has long course senior national cuts in the 50-meter free (23.29) and 100-meter fly (54.95). He also owns B cuts in the 50-yard free (20.29), 100-yard free (44.28) and 100-yard fly (47.65).

Five star Kameron Ansley made her choice to swim for Virginia Tech. Ansley, who swims for QDD and preps at Osborn High, has long course senior national cuts in the 100-meter fly (1:02.36) and 200-meter fly (2:15.58). She joins four star Aubree Duncan at Virginia Tech.

Five star Brett Boston, who swims for New South and preps at Butler High, is on his way to Ohio State in the Class of 2010. Boston holds long course senior national cuts in the 200-meter free (1:52.85), 400-meter free (3:56.05), 1500-meter free (15:53.01) and 200-meter fly (2:02.31). He also has a B cut in the 500-yard free (4:27.04). He is one of four public commits to OSU including five star Dak Stone.

Arizona added its seventh five star when Matt Barber chose to become a Wildcat. Barber, who swims for Blue Tide and preps at Kingwood, has long course senior national cuts in the 200-meter free (1:50.51), 400-meter free (3:53.77) and 1500-meter free (15:54.66).

Four star BJ Hornikel, who swims for Southern Marlins and preps at Stratford High, committed to Alabama. He has a long course senior national cut in the 100-meter free (50.89).

Three star Erin Sosdian, who swims for The Woodlands Swim Team and preps at Woodlands College Park, decided to head to Northwestern. She joins fellow three star Jackie Powell

Three star Charles Bolgan, who swims for Georgia Coastal and preps at Hilton Head Island High, is headed to Louisville. He joins five star Lindsey LaPorte and three star Carly Munchel
