Stanford Claims Two More Five Stars, Duke Adds One in Recruiting

PHOENIX, Arizona, November 5. AS national early signing day keeps coming ever so closer, recruits around the nation are making their commitments public via the Swimming World College Recruit Rankings.

Five star Allison Arnold and five star Bryan Offutt committed to Stanford.

Arnold, who swims for the Dallas Mustangs, owns long course senior national cuts in the 400-meter free (4:16.52) and 800-meter free (8:48.54). She also has B cuts in the 200-yard free (1:47.65), 500-yard free (4:45.28) and 1650-yard free (16:26.99). Offutt, who swims for North Baltimore and preps at Hereford High, has long course senior national cuts in the 200-meter fly (2:02.88) and 400-meter IM (4:23.96). He also owns a B cut in the 400-yard IM (3:54.10).

Arnold and Offutt join fellow five stars Maya DiRado and Felicia Lee at Stanford.

Five star Emily Schon, who swims for Upper Main Line YMCA and preps at Conestoga High, is headed to Duke. Schon owns long course senior national cuts in the 100-meter breast (1:12.45) and 200-meter breast (2:37.07). She also holds an NCAA Division I B cut in the 200-yard breast (2:16.73).

Three star Shane Coltharp, who swims for the Northern Kentucky Clippers and preps at Beechwood High, pledged his services to LSU. Another three star, Chad Sorensen, who swims for The Woodlands Swim Team and preps at The Woodlands High, is headed to Brigham Young University in Utah.

Three star Alex Gianino, who swims for Badger and preps at The Hackley School, is heading to North Carolina. UNC already has six five stars and a four star in a strong recruiting class for 2010.

One star Natalie Adams, who swims for Conroe Swim Club and preps at Cypress Woods, joined six star Sarah Henry and five star Erica Dittmer as future swimmers at Texas A&M.
