MESA, Arizona, November 1. AT the Arizona 4A Division II High School State Championships, Arcadia walked away with two state titles. The Arcadia girls scored 497 points for first, followed by Notre Dame (254) and Thunderbird (225.5). On the boys' side, Arcadia scored 408 points while Flagstaff placed second (276.5) and Notre Dame took third (215.5).

Girls Individual Results
Arcadia won all three relays. Carter Graves, Sydelle Harrison, Laura Gonzales, and Julianne Reese won the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:55.83. Graves was a dual event winner in the 100 butterfly (57.04) and the 100 backstroke (59.38).

Senior Catherine Polito (Mingus Union) won the 50 (24.44) and 100 (52.78) freestyles.

Reese teamed up with Michaela James, Melanie Gustafson, and Carly Stevens for a win in the 200 freestyle relay. The group clocked a time of 1:44.90 for a first-place finish. Stevens also won the 500 freestyle (5:13.98).

Katie Dallmann (Cactus) won the diving competition with a score of 354.05. Infinity Martin (Flagstaff) and Denise Oswalt (Arcadia) followed with scores of 320.90 and 289.40 respectively.

Stevens, Gustafson, Gonzales, and Graves combined for a win in the 400 freestyle relay (3:43.25).

Boys Individual Results
Arcadia opened the meet with a win in the 200 medley relay. Chris Pickard, Scott Angell, Nathan Anderson, and Alex Rand clocked a time of 1:40.29 for a first-place finish. Pickard also won the 200 IM (1:52.29) and the 100 butterfly (50.32).

Junior Tyler Messerschmidt (Desert Edge) was a dual event winner in the 200 and 100 (45.07) freestyles. He set a state record in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:38.00.

Notre Dame's Ben Brouwer won the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:50.60. He teamed up with Alex Brouwer, Jon Harmon, and Zach Kezirian for a win in the 200 freestyle relay (1:30.83).

Cody Farabee (Williams Field) won the diving competition with a score of 414.95. Toby Lee (Liberty) placed second (403.50) and Hayden Sells (Arcadia) took third (359.15).

A. Brouwer, Kezirian, Harmon, and B. Brouwer closed the meet with a first-place finish in the 400 freestyle relay (3:18.52). A. Brouwer also won the 100 backstroke (52.13).
