The Zen Of Swimming: For Better Performance…Relax. Pool’s Edge in SWIM Section of August Issue Tells How

PHOENIX, Arizona, August 6. THE importance of relaxing and the crucial role it plays in allowing athletes to swim faster is explored in Pool’s Edge in this month’s issue of Swimming World Magazine.

The article sites six specific areas which if tense or stressed, can lead to a waste of precious energy and therefore make it more difficult to swim faster. Once swimmers are aware of these areas, they can work at becoming more aware of keeping them loose, which will make strokes more efficient and may result in overall quicker performances.

Also in the SWIM section, Lane Leaders highlights Masters swimmer Lisa Dahl. Swimmers at every level will find her unique journey through the sport to be inspirational as well as highly motivating.
