Jack Groselle Lowers FINA Masters World Record at Oxford Sectional

OXFORD, Ohio, July 23. OVER the past few days, Jack Groselle, 55, has been toiling away at the USA Swimming Sectionals held in Oxford, Ohio.

On Monday, Groselle clocked a 2:05.39 in the men's 55-59 200 free to lower his FINA Masters age division record. He previously set the record with a 2:07.21 at the last sectional meet in the area held in March. Prior to that time, Jim McConica held the record with a 2:08.03 set in August 2005.

Groselle returned on Wednesday with a U.S. Masters Swimming national record in the 100 breast. Groselle clocked a 1:12.84 to break Rick Collela's time of 1:14.30 set in August 2008.
