N.C. State Women’s Swimming Inks Christina McCann

RALEIGH, North Carolina, May 28. NC State women's swimming and diving head coach Brooks Teal announced the singing of Christina McCann on Thursday, May 28. A native of Gig Harbor, Wash., McCann is a current senior at Gig Harbor High School.

"We are excited to have Christina join our program," said Teal. "She is a very talented swimmer and a very tough competitor. We are excited about what she will bring to our program and we are confident that her best swimming is ahead of her."

An honors student carrying a 3.9 GPA, McCann has been accepted into the College of Physical and Mathematical Sciences at NC State.

An NCSA junior national qualifier, McCann was also a western section finalist and a member of the KING national team. She has been training under 2008 Olympic assistant coach Sean Hutchison.
