Industry News: Swim Clinic of the Century!

BAKERSFIELD, California, May 1. TO celebrate the 200th clinic on the Mutual of Omaha BreakOut Swim clinic Tour that has been traveling the country for the last 3 years, Josh Davis and his Gold Medal Teammates will be hosting what could be called the Clinic of the Century.

Most clinics have 2 Olympians and every now and again 3 or 4 Olympians get together but very rarely do 7 of the best come together to teach the next generation of swimmers.

The Mutual of Omaha BreakOut clinic in Bakersfield, CA on Sunday May 3rd from 1-5pm will include 5-time medalist and former USA captain, Josh Davis, NCAA Swimmer of the Year, 2004 Gold medalist and fastest woman ever in 200yd free, Dana Vollmer; home town hero of Bakersfield and bronze medalist from 2004, Gabe Woodward; fastest woman ever in the 200yd fly with a 1:49 and a 2008 silver medalist Elaine Breeden; one of the greats of all time and a perennial crowd favorite, 3 time Olympian and arguably the most dominant backstroker of our time, world record holder Aaron Peirsol; fastest woman ever in the 100yd breaststroke and silver medalist from 2004, Tara Kirk; and the hero of the 2008 Olympics, captain of the men's team and the fastest split ever by a human being in the 100m free, Jason Lezak.

This is truly a once in a lifetime event hosted by Riptide Aquatics in Bakersfield, CA from 1-5pm. Registration starts at 12pm and will be packed with inspiration, information, demonstration and some match races. In addition to the unbelievable teaching for 4 hours and chance to meet 7 Olympians the $70 includes a goody bag with poster, dvd's, t-shirt, notebooks and pen.
