NCAA Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships: Day 2

After the second day of competition, Stanford still holds a slight lead. But USC has roared back to second in the team standings.

Auburn won the 200 medley relay with a time of 1.39.57.
Kristine Quance easily won the 400 IM with a time of 4.06.54.
Mimi Bowen upset Richelle Depold to win the 100 butterfly with a lightening fast 52.05.
Martina Moravcova destroyed Nicole Haislett’s record en route to winning the 200 freestyle in a blistering 1.43.08.
Gretchen Hegener of Minnesota won the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1.00.32.
Catherine Fox of Stanford took the 100 backstroke with a quick 53.23.
SMU won the 800 freestyle relay with a time of 7.09.92.
