Three USMS National Records Fall in Michigan

LAKE ORION, Michigan, April 9. LAST weekend, three USMS National records went down at the Michigan Masters State Championships held over short course yards.

The team of Adam Schmitt, Patrick Saucedo, Alec Mull and Kevin Doak posted a time of 1:22.87 in the men's 200 free relay to break the 18+ record of 1:23.04 set by the Auburn Masters team of Oswaldo Quevdo, Romain Barnier, Richard Hughey and Lional Moreau back in 2001.

The 200 medley relay featured the team of Doak, Schmitt, Mull and Saucedo touching in 1:31.43 to break the 18+ record of 1:33.18 set by the Texas Swimming team of Jeff Thibault, Dean Putterman, Michael Dunne, and Robert Killeen in 1995.

Meanwhile, Doak's leadoff 22.78 in the 50 back broke the record of 22.89 set by William Liscinsky in the 25-29 division at the 2008 USMS Nationals last year.
