NCAA Div. I: Princeton Dunks Rutgers

PISCATAWAY, N.J., Jan. 5. THE Princeton men's (5-0) and women's (4-0) swimming and diving teams defeated Rutgers Friday night with each squad winning nine out of 16 events. The women won by a score of
164-136 while the men coasted to a 187-113 victory.

Kate Conroy won the 100 back with a time of 57.40 seconds and the 200 back in 2:06.94. Lauren Rossi won the 100 (1:06.89) and 200 (2:21.37) breaststroke for the Tigers.

Molly Seto won the 200 fly (2:05.91) and Valerie Kukla won the 500 free (5:01.02). Erin Lutz took both the 3-meter and the 1-meter dives. The medley relay team of Conroy, Holland, Seto and Sangeeta Puri won the 200 medley relay (1:47.55).

Kevin Volz (9:13.88), Juan Valdivieso (9:27.78) and Paul Cremer (9:34.03) took the top three places in the 1,000 free on the men's side. Lance Needham (4:02.82), Matt Harrigan (4:05.42) and Cremer (4:06.25) swept the 400 IM. Volz also won the 500 free (4:30.93).

Craig Wales won the 100 fly (50.08), Jesse Gage won the 100 free (45.69) and Chris Cunningham won the 200 free (1:41.81). Michael Sullivan won the 3-meter dive and placed second in the 1-meter.

Gage, Mike Salerno, Nathan Rebuck and Jamie Leahy won the 400 free relay.
