Mixed Foursome Sets FINA Masters World Record in Short Course Freestyle Relay, Jack Groselle Takes Down Another

MEDINA, Ohio, April 7. OVER the weekend, the Ohio Masters Swim Club foursome of Todd Stultz, Laura Kessler, Jack Groselle and Karen Staursky claimed the FINA Masters world record in the mixed 200+ 200-meter freestyle relay over short course meters.

The swim, which took place at the Medina Sprint Classic, stopped the clock in 1:48.74. That effort cleared the FINA Masters world record of 1:49.36 previously set by New England Masters in November of 2002.

Groselle, who already clocked a pair of long course meter 55-59 age division FINA Masters world records at the dual-sanctioned USA Swimming Sectionals held in Indianapolis, pocketed another FINA Masters world record in the 100 free. Groselle hit the wall in 54.50 to eclipse the 55.12 set by Paul Trevisan back in 2006.
